Philosophy
Jamie's philosophy of allergy care centers around making immunotherapy safe, accessible, and easy for people with busy schedules who don’t have time to come to an office every week for allergy injections. Desensitization to allergens is the most valuable treatment for the future health of patients with allergic rhinitis. Avoidance of allergens isn’t always possible and medication only works when you’re taking it. Once a patient reaches a stable maintenance dose of their allergy shots, self-administration at home is safe, effective, and far more successful for patients than trying to maintain a rigid schedule of coming into the clinic. We’re here to help you manage your allergies over the long term by retraining your immune system to be less reactive to allergens in your environment.
Professional History
Jamie graduated as an EMT-IV/Paramedic from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR. She has spent 14 years supervising an allergy clinic for an otolaryngology (ENT) office on First Hill. She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA) and has completed their Basic and Advanced Allergy Courses, as well as attended their annual scientific meetings since 2011.
